MPD Outstanding Young Engineer Award

The MPD Outstanding Young Engineer Award, established in 1984, recognizes significant contribution of a young individual within the Mineral Processing/Extractive discipline. Eligibility for the award will include:

  1. the nominee must be a graduate engineer actively working in a Mineral Processing Extractive discipline;

  2. the nominee must be a member of MPD/SME;

  3. the nominee will be less than 36 years of age before January 1st of the year the award is presented; and

  4. the nominee will have made a significant contribution to the industry in either academics, research, operations, design, or engineering/ construction.


All nominations are due June 1.
