SME Annual Meeting free mobile App now available

February 23-26 conference will be held at the Salt Palace Convention Center

At the 2014 SME Annual Meeting and Exhibit, “Leadership in Uncertain Times,” in Salt Lake City, February 23- 26, 2014, SME will unveil a new App for mobile devices to improve attendees’ event experience.

This App will help you keep track of the entire conference and keep you up-to-date with immediate alerts from event staff. To download the App, visit m.core-apps.com/sme from your mobile device or tablet. The dashboard will guide attendees to:

  • abstracts 
  • ​alumni and special functions
  • attendee directory

  • calendar of events

  • exhibitor listings

  • maps, exhibit and hotel floor plans

  • short courses

  • technical sessions

Attendees can also use the App to post updates of their annual meeting experience in real-time to Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. The “My Schedule” feature will allow attendees to manage their daily schedule. A special feature is the “Local Places” option which focuses on local activities and attractions, bars and nightlife, family fun, restaurants, shopping, arts and culture, transportation, sports and more. “Find Me” is a unique locator that will show your current location in relation to the exhibitor booths. This state-of-the-art App is designed with the convention attendee in mind to help guide you smoothly throughout the event.

The SME Annual Meeting and Exhibit will bring together more than 5,500 mining industry professionals from over 30 countries, feature 801 exhibit booths, provide nearly 700 professional papers presented in 117 technical sessions, and 8 professional short courses plus technical field trips.

Attendees can save $100 on their meeting registration fee by signing up before the early registration deadline of Monday, January 27. 

The Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration Inc.
