2016 World Tunnel Congress coming to San Francisco

UCA of SME will provide meeting and registration services

The Underground Construction Association of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration Inc. (UCA of SME), along with the International Tunneling and Underground Space Association (ITA/AITES), is proud to be hosting the 2016 World Tunnel Congress (WTC2016) April 22-28, 2016 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA. WTC2016 is the foremost international conference for tunneling and underground space practitioners from around the world.

Up to 2,500 visitors are expected to attend the event. Approximately 600 technical presentations, combined with training, poster and oralsessions, will create opportunities for specialists and professionals to gather and share information with leading experts in the industry. Participants will interact with as many as 350 exhibitors offering the most current products and technical developments in the underground space and construction businesses.

Kanagy. “This opportunity to share global state-of-the-art technology is unprecedented.”

Technical tours will be available for attendees, their spouses and guests. Housing is now open at hotels where WTC2016 has arranged for special discounted room rates for conference attendees. (Hotels will notify those who make reservations that registration to WTC2016 is required to receive the discounted rate.) Registration will open August 1, 2015 for exhibitors and attendees.
